Zellige, marble, and handmade tiles, set by trained installers. The materials that look effortless in a magazine are the hardest ones to install, and they're the ones we like best.

Zellige is cut by hand, so no two pieces are the same size or thickness. Marble has veins that have to be laid out before anything is cut, and it stains if it isn't sealed right. Handmade ceramic warps a little in the kiln on purpose. That's what makes them beautiful, and it's why a crew that sets subway tile all day can make them look wrong.
We lay the pieces out dry first. We blend boxes so the color varies evenly across the wall. We set each piece by hand to the piece next to it, not to a line. Then we seal natural stone before it's grouted, and again after.
Zellige and handmade glazed tile. Marble and natural stone, polished or honed. Terrazzo. Cement and encaustic tile. Mosaics and inlays. Large-format porcelain panels. Specialty layouts: herringbone, chevron, basketweave, and patterns drawn for the room.

The material (handmade and natural stone cost more per foot and take longer to set). The square footage. The pattern. The prep the surface needs. We walk the project first, then put every line in writing.
We follow the same remodeling process on every project: in-depth planning, an estimate in writing, an enjoyable build, and a final walkthrough where we discuss warranty and care before we leave. See how it goes →

Jon W. · Google reviewYes. Every piece is a different size and thickness, so it's set by hand, piece to piece, instead of to a grid. That's why it looks the way it does, and why it should be set by someone who's done it before. There are many tricks and important steps for installing zellige correctly. Only a skilled and trained installer should handle these projects.

We'll meet you at the showroom, or source it for you. Specialty tile often has a lead time, so we order it far in advance of the start date.
