Custom cabinets built to fit your space and style. Measured for your room, built by Ben Kissee, and installed by the same team that builds the rest of your project.

Stock cabinets come in fixed sizes, and the room gets filler strips and dead corners to make them fit. Custom cabinets start from the room. Every box is sized to the wall it's going on, so drawers go where you reach, doors clear the fridge and the window trim, and the corner isn't wasted. The wood, the finish, the door style, and the hardware are yours to choose.
Ben Kissee builds them. Micah's brother, a custom cabinet builder and refinisher. The cabinets and the tile are planned together, so the backsplash meets the uppers the way it should. Ben specializes in out-of-the-ordinary builds and real hardwood projects.
Kitchen cabinets and islands. Bathroom vanities. Built-ins, mudroom lockers, laundry cabinets, and closets. Fireplace surrounds and media walls. Refinishing and refacing, when the boxes are good and the look isn't.

How many boxes. The wood and the finish (painted, stained, or natural). Door style and hardware. Drawers cost more than doors. Whether the old cabinets come out. We walk the project first, then put every line in writing.
We follow the same remodeling process on every project: in-depth planning, an estimate in writing, an enjoyable build, and a final walkthrough where we discuss warranty and care before we leave. See how it goes →
"Micah Kissee for the amazing tile work. Ben Kissee for the custom vanity. This was a long process but we are so happy with the end result."

Both. Painted gives a clean, even color; stained shows the grain. We'll show you samples in your light.
Often, yes. If the boxes are solid, new doors, drawers, and a refinish can get you most of the way for less.
Yes. Cabinets, countertops, and backsplash are planned together, so everything lines up.
Maple, alder, oak, walnut, painted hardwoods, and any properly cured and dried wood. Wood selection depends on the look and budget. One of our favorite cabinet projects was completed for a homeowner who had to cut down a sentimental tree from their property. The wood was cut, dried, and turned into stunning book-matched cabinets.
